Upgrades
At this time, American does not offer any type of upgrade to Premium Economy (P). The only type of upgrades that can be requested are:
- Economy -> Business (international)
- Economy -> First (domestic)
- Premium Economy -> Business (international)
- Business -> First (domestic & international)
Executive Platinum and Concierge Key members can request complimentary premium economy seats at the gate if there are seats available, and if they had requested a SWU upgrade and the request did not clear.
